CSV files can be opened with and used in many programs. Here's how to use them in Microsoft Word and Excel:
•Double-click on the file to open it.
•To save the file after making changes to it, be sure to use the Save As .xls or .xlsx option to preserve all formatting you may have applied.
•To use the file in a mail merge document (for example, to create mailing labels),
1.Start Word
2.Select the Mail Merge tool
3.Follow the step-by-step instructions in the mail merge wizard.
•Word 2007 and later: Use the CSV file as the Data Source.
•Word 2003: Save the CSV file in Excel as an .xls file first, and use that file as the Data Source.
